Gosh I realized I haven’t posted on here about the Independence referendum…
Please show your love and support for Scotland today in some way, perhaps post a saltire or even share my post.
I thought it was about time I spoke about why I am voting YES in the ‪#‎indyref‬. We surely all know of the facts and maybe’s that are involved but I’m interested in other peoples personal reasoning when it comes to why they’re voting whether it be a yes or a no so I’m expressing mine.
It didn’t take long for me in the beginning to decide that I was voting yes for all the Saltire waving eat yer haggis reasons. I am intensely proud to be be Scottish because our country has everything to be proud of; History, scenery, food and the wonderful community spirit. For a long time I have been watching, listening and reading and have made an informed decision. Scotland is not only an oil rich country but we also have a wonderful food and drink trade, wind & wave power, agriculture(so on and so on)… yet we are diving into poverty at an immense speed. Money aside, looking at Norway and Denmark (the happiest county in the world) There are huge similarities between our country and theirs, it can be done.

I’m personally choosing yes because I love everything this country has done for me and we need the freedom to keep improving, not because I dislike England in any way. My life was saved by the NHS and I have an amazing education because I was able to study for free. These things WILL change in the event of a no vote, I am almost certain of that. I also believe (as I’ve already said) that those in Westminster aren’t only scared about Scotland becoming independent, they are in complete knee wobbling fear because everyone else in the kingdom will rise and be heard. Everyone is starting to have hope. Hope is their worst nightmare because it challenges their greed. The whole of the UK deserve better life, living and government and I believe they will all have it one day.
No one else will save us from poverty and corruption but the people of our nation. Rise and be heard. Fear stands in the way of progress. Do not allow yourself to be made a coward by the broken machine that is our current government. Do not let the pureness of our white and blue flag be soaked in the blood of illegal wars and suffering.
“May your wolf ever walk beside you and grant you rest in his shadow. May his paws ever guide your path and your howls be heard by all.”
